Diann Mendez Windmeyer Hall, 68, of Topeka, KS, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS after fighting a month-long battle with COVID-19. Her son Shane Windmeyer and daughter Jennifer Windmeyer were by her side. The family is celebrating her life on her birthday Friday, October 29 and on Saturday, October 30 in her hometown of Hiawatha, KS.
Join the family as we remember Diann's life and celebrate her birthday with a Halloween Costume Party. Some of her FAVORITE CELEBRITIES will be performing, including Dolly Parton, Cher, Dianna Ross, Tina Turner and the King himself, Elvis Presley! Plus there will be Live DJ, Dancing, Karaoke and prizes for Best Halloween Costumes. Tickets are $10. ** Alcohol is not allowed on premises **
Nobody was a stranger to Diann and we want anyone who knew her to feel welcome to attend the luncheon and share their memories of her (photos, stories, etc). Family was very important to Diann so the family has provided a professional photographer to take family portraits and capture family memories in her honor. The Mendez Windmeyer Hall Family will provide a main food entree as well as music and fellowship. There is NO CHARGE for the luncheon. ** Alcohol is not allowed on premises ** If possible, we ask that you RSVP your attendance at info@diannhall.com and if you wish to bring a potluck dish to share with everyone.
In memory of Diann, a memorial bench will be placed at her gravesite nearby at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Diann Mendez Windmeyer Hall loved her hometown of Hiawatha and the Halloween Parade. In her memory, the Family will be sponsoring the Historic Halloween Parade with a special nighttime performance by Pyro Tribe out of Saint Joseph, Missouri.

Her son Shane Windmeyer and daughter Jennifer Windmeyer were by her side. The family is celebrating her life this October 29, 2021 in her hometown of Hiawatha, KS. In an effort to spread awareness about COVID and the impact of COVID, the Windmeyer Family is sponsoring this Memorial Essay Contest in her name. Winners will receive cash prizes. The Grand Prize Winner will be published in the Hiawatha World (print and online).
